City of Brotherly Love Kind to DSBBC
On Saturday Diamond State BBC took on the Athletic BBC of Philadelphia. In game one of the day, your Diamond States put up 10 tallies in just the first two innings as bats came alive. Boots, Lightning, Black Bart, Anchor, Moonlight and Triple B went a combined 28 for 35! That’s 80% of the time our first six were on base!
Thunder held the Athletics to four tallies in front of a solid defensive day by his supporting 8. The final tally, 27-4.
In game two, the hitting at the top of the lineup continued with the addition of Gator and one of our new rookies, Doughboy. Each got on and swept the bases to assist the scoring efforts by being just 90 feet away each time they got on. A great team effort en route to a 28-10 victory.
Diamond State take on Lewes as part of “Dover Days” this coming Sunday, May 3 in Dover Delaware. The winner will move on to challenge Milford – last years Delaware State Champion. Join us at 11:00am for our start on the Legislative Green.
