Baseball, as it was intended to be played.
The Diamond State Base Ball Club is Delaware’s amateur 19th Century vintage base ball team. We serve to demonstrate the spirit & ideals of the National Pastime’s earliest days, before the introduction of professionalism forever changed the game.
Our club’s name, uniforms & the rules by which we play are based upon those used by the original Diamond State Base Ball Club, which was founded in Wilmington, Delaware in 1865.
We hope you and yours will join us for an afternoon of old time ball and good family fun at our historic ballfield at Fort DuPont State Park in Delaware City, DE or at one of our vintage base ball matches elsewhere around the state and region. Bring a chair or blanket & witness history in the making.
HUZZAH for the Blue & Black!
