Diamond State Victorious in Belated 2017 DE Cup Final

In a match rescheduled from the end of last season, on April 15 the Diamond State BBC played host to the Lewes BBC to decide the championship of the 2017 Delaware Cup. The Blue and Black got off to a slow start on the cold and wet day, tallying only 4 aces in their first 5 innings.  However, in their 6th turn at the line, the club plated 8 aces to gain a lead that they were able to hold on their way to a 14-10 victory.  Diamond State was led at the striker’s line by Hawthorne (4 hits, 2 doubles, triple, 3 aces) and Blackbart (2 hits, walk, 3 aces). The DSBBC is proud to be able to play the 2018 season as the reigning Delaware Cup champions!
