Diamond State Bests Brandywine on Pea Patch Island

On Sunday, June 7 the Diamond State Base Ball Club set sail for Fort Delaware State Park on Pea Patch Island.  There they faced off against their friends from the Brandywine BBC in a spirited match.  The Blue and Black jumped out to an early advantage with 8 aces over their first 2 innings.  The West Chester side came storming back with 4 tallies in their 5th inning to narrow the gap, but the Diamond States held on for a 13-7 victory.

The Diamond States were lead by Blackbart (4 hits) and Hawthorne (double and home run).  On loan to the Brandywine side, Swampy amassed 4 hits in 4 trips to the striker’s line.
