2016 Season Kicks Off With Resounding Victory

On Saturday, April 2, the Diamond State Base Ball Club traveled to Ellicott City, MD to face off against the Surveyor BBC of Ellicott’s Mills in the inaugural match for the new entrant into the Mid-Atlantic Vintage Base Ball League.

The Blue and Black strikers didn’t take long to awaken from the winter’s hibernation, rapping out 96 hits on the way to tallying 68 aces.

The Diamond States enjoyed the experience of participating in the first outing for the new Surveyor nine and wish their new friends much success as they introduce the 1860s game to the Ellicott City community.

The DSBBC will return to action on April 16 as they travel to East Goshen Park in West Chester, PA for matches against the Brandywine of West Chester and Mohican of Kennett Square.  The first match of the day will commence at 1:00 pm.
