Hagley Museum Hosts DSBBC Exhibition

On Saturday, September 27 the Hagley Museum and Library in Wilmington hosted the Diamond State Base Ball Club for an exhibition of the 1864 game.  The Blue and Black played against an assembled nine featuring players from their second nine, the Atlas of Delaware City, as well as their friends from the Mohican BBC of Kennett Square, the Brandywine BBC of West Chester and the Excelsior BBC of Arundel, MD.

The teams gave the spectators an excellent demonstration of the manner and traditions of play in the 19th century.
