Diamond State Brews Up Victory at Twin Lakes

The Diamond State Base Ball Club and the Brandywine Base Ball Club of West Chester squared off on August 2 at Twin Lakes Brewing Company in Greenville, DE. After exchanging tallies in the early innings, the Blue and Black exploded for 5 aces in their fourth inning and 7 aces in the fifth to take a commanding advantage. Meanwhile, the Brandywine nine had trouble getting the bats warmed up, and were unable to keep pace. The Delaware club was led at the striker’s line by Boots (5 hits, 4 aces) and Anchor (4 hits, 2 aces).

The club will be off next weekend before traveling to Fairmount Park in Philadelphia on August 17 to face the Athletic.
