Diamond State Makes 2013 Home Debut

On April 20, the Diamond State Baseball Club returned to Ft. DuPont for their first home match of 2013.  The Blue and Black welcomed the Brandywine BBC of West Chester, playing in their first game in the MAVBBL.  The Delaware nine’s strikers found success early and often, jumping out to a 16-0 lead after two innings.  The Brandywine side displayed great energy and passion, but had trouble handling Mini’s expert hurling.  At the game’s conclusion, the tally stood at 31-1.

Diamond State’s season will continue with a pair of dates with their in-state foes from Lewes.  On April 28, the teams will meet for a 1:00 match at the Virden Center on University of Delaware’s Lewes campus.  The teams will then meet again a week later (Sunday May 5 at 2:00 pm) on the Legislative Mall in Dover as part of the Dover Days festivities.
