DSBBC Announces Post-Season Awards

November 17, 2013– The Diamond State Base Ball Club held its annual post-season meeting this afternoon and handed out the club awards.

Kathy’s Crab House in Delaware City won the Levi C. Bird Booster of the Year Award for their support of Diamond State Base Ball.

Vice President and first baseman Scott “Stretch” Rawding picked up the Daniel Taylor Captains’ Award for his contributions to the ball club on and off the field.

Assistant Captain and catcher Frank “Dutch” Brevoort, IV won the Andrew Gibney Award as Diamond State’s Defensive Player of the Year.

Left fielder Matt “Black Bart” Bartnicki was the recipient of both the Charles Tatnall Award for Offensive Player of the Year and the Fergy Malone Cup as Diamond State’s Most Valuable Player.

Diamond State Base Ball Club finished the 2013 season 19-13 and was runner-up in the Mid Atlantic Vintage Base Ball League Championship Tournament.
