Fair Plays Frustrate DSBBC

June 27, 2011 – The Diamond State Base Ball Club had few opportunities to put tallies on the board yesterday, as the Fair Play BBC of Talbot County left Ft. DuPont with a 10-0 and 10-2 match sweep.

Fair Play pitching kept the Blue & Black off balance all day and exceptional fielding limited Delaware strikers when they did put the ball in play.  The 10-run victory in the day’s first game was the first time that Diamond State had ever been shut out at Ft. DuPont and the first time the club had been shut out since a 22-run road shutout to the Chesapeake Nine BBC of Baltimore in September 2009.

Coincidentally, DSBBC’s next match features a road trip to Kingsville, Maryland to take on the Chesapeake Nine.  First pitch is scheduled for noon on Sunday, July 17 at Jerusalem Mill Village in Kingsville.
